It has been almost two years since Meghan Markle left the United States. Among the reasons mentioned: the pandemic linked to Covid-19 but also her second pregnancy, preventing her from making long trips. But now Prince Harry’s wife has decided to leave California to go to the Netherlands, where the Invictus Games will take place. But the parents of Archie and Lilibet took the opportunity to surprise Queen Elizabeth II by going to Buckingham. Thus, the couple also found Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles.
But did Prince Harry and Meghan Markle travel to Britain with their children? According to the various English tabloids, Archie and Lilibet remained in the United States. This is another missed opportunity for the queen to finally meet her great-granddaughter, whom she has not yet seen. However, according to information revealed by the blog From Berkshire to Buckingham, the plane in which the couple traveled had seen one of its parts privatized: “One of you sent me a message yesterday to saying that the Sussexes flew to London from Los Angeles. According to this reader, they occupied the entire first class of the plane.”
A visit to silence the controversies?
But would this surprise visit be a pretext to calm the controversies around the absence of Prince Harry at the commemorations of his grandfather, Prince Philip? At least that’s what royal expert Angela Levin thinks, as she told Express UK: “I think it has something to do with not showing up for Prince Philip’s memorial service. and find out that the reaction to it has been very bad. They can’t afford to lose that publicity.” It is true that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex had been widely singled out by the British who had not at all appreciated that the brother of Prince William did not travel to commemorate the memory of his grandfather.
