In January 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their intention to leave the royal family. A news that had the effect of a bomb and which has still not been digested by the Windsors but also the British. Each appearance of the couple is controversial but is also very commented. Far from the United Kingdom, it is in California that they have lived since their departure and the Sussexes seem to be much more fulfilled. They chain the projects but also the interviews. The one granted to Oprah Winfrey in March 2021, in which they had mentioned the royal family and had chained the revelations, has never been forgotten. Today, it is to discuss their personal projects and their family life that they agree to answer questions from journalists. On August 29, Meghan Markle made the cover of The Cut magazine. For this special occasion, the wife of prince Harry delivered on his daily life in his large villa in Montecito. If she is now fulfilled, the Duchess indicates however that they did not intend to visit this house at the start. “We were looking around and this house was constantly being highlighted,” she recalled before adding, “We had no jobs, we weren’t going to visit that one,” Meghan revealed Markle before making an unexpected comparison: “It’s like when you’re young and you’re window shopping. I don’t want to go and look at things that I can’t afford to buy. It doesn’t good”.

This villa, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were finally able to acquire it thanks to their multi-million dollar contracts with Spotify and Netflix. “One of the first things my husband saw when he walked around the garden were the two palm trees,” she first recalled before adding, “He noticed that they were side by side and kept saying it’s about us.” An anecdote that marked their son Archie a lot. “From now on, when he walks by, Archie says hello to them by calling them mum and dad”, laughed Meghan Markle before specifying that they were determined to acquire this villa. “We did everything necessary because when you walk around…You just feel joy and calm. You feel free,” the Duchess said. Very fulfilled in her daily life, Meghan Markle takes full advantage of Montecito but also of Los Angeles, as revealed by Great Britain News on July 13. “She spends most of her time in Montecito, but sometimes she also goes to Los Angeles with her dogs, Pula and Guy, to walk”, could we first read. Meghan Markle: a duchess who had to compromise

Far from the royal family and the media, Prince Harry’s wife still intends to use her voice to make herself heard. “I’m going to be back on Instagram,” she revealed. When she joined the royal family, Meghan Markle had to separate from her social networks. During her acting career, she was very close to her fans and used to use her Twitter and Instagram accounts to communicate with them and share her daily life. However, the Windsors only have official profiles that are managed by third parties to control what is published. Thus, Meghan Markle had to adapt and it was not always easy for her. “It was a big adjustment…a huge adjustment to go from that kind of autonomy to a different life,” she said before referring to the royal family’s Instagram account. “If you want to publish a photo of your child or a member of the royal family, you must first send it to a third person so that it can be validated”, she lamented before adding that she never understood how it works. Determined not to follow royal protocol, Prince Harry and his wife created their own Instagram account in April 2020, a month before Archie was born. A way for them to post photos that have not been approved but also to be free.

During this interview, Meghan Markle also discussed her relationship with Prince Harry. This is the subject of rumors in particular since the couple is working on a documentary for Netflix. If the Duchess of Sussex did not wish to reveal more, she however explained: “The piece of my life that I could not share, that people could not see, it is our history of ‘love,” she lamented before quoting from the end of her wedding speech: “I find solace in the resounding knowledge that, above all else, love wins.” . Thrilled, Meghan Markle adds: “I hope that’s the feeling people get when they see the content or the projects we are working on”. Meghan Markle assured that she could not give details about this project, but she said that it was very important for her to tell her story, especially when it was widely commented on in the press. Indeed, the Sussexes are the subject of unfounded rumors almost daily and it is very rare that they speak publicly to restore the truth. It is therefore through their various projects, including the podcast Archewell, that they discuss their private life.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry: Are they happy to work together?

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are very fulfilled despite the rumors they are the subject of and the very tense relations with the royal family. Far from their loved ones, the couple made the decision to work together on many projects including their podcast Archewell. “Most of the people I know and a lot of my family members cannot work and live together,” Prince Harry first said before adding that this situation suits him perfectly. “It’s actually really weird because it seems like a lot of pressure. But it feels natural and normal for us,” he continued before lamenting the fact that no matter what he does, he will be always criticized by the press. “If we do something, we are criticized. If we do nothing, we are still criticized…”, he said. In addition, during their move, Meghan Markle and her husband had to face the Covid-19 pandemic and they therefore found themselves isolated and alone. However, they supported each other and were able to launch many of their projects. “We’re like salt and pepper. We do everything together with Harry,” concluded Meghan Markle.
