Emmy Awards, this ceremony which rewards the best series and television programs took place on September 19 this year. Meghan and Harry’s explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey is among the nominees. The famous interview which had been followed by more than 17 million Americans was named in the category “Outstanding Hosted Nonfiction Series or Special”.
The interview show aired on March 7 of this year for the first time. In just three days, the show was seen by over 49 million viewers. This 90-minute interview focused on shocking revelations about the royal family sparked a lot of controversy. The show was also an opportunity for the Duke and Duchess of Sussexes to announce their separation from the royal family.
At the time, the royal couple created a buzz while making new fans, but also new detractors. Despite everything, the couple’s explosive interview did not have the same success during the Emmy Awards. CNN’s “Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy,” a culinary show won a golden statuette at the Emmy Awards. This CNN show features an actor who simply tours the regions of Italy for culinary discoveries.
“Meghan Markle and Prince Harry signed a deal with Netflix”
Since leaving the Royal Family and England, Meghan and Harry have chosen to lead another life. In order not to remain on this first failure at the Emmy Awards, the couple are already working on a documentary series. Indeed, Meghan and Harry have already signed a contract with Netflix for the production of their first series.
The documentary series is titled “Heart of Invictus” to recall its report the Invictus Games. Prince Harry will be the executive producer of the series and “will appear on camera and follow the journeys of several athletes in their preparation for the 2022 Games in the Netherlands”.
