Meghan and Harry are now comfortably settled in their $ 14.7 million California mansion. The Sussexes are known to particularly adore their new life in Montecito with their two children. To prove their belonging to their new community, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex support the causes close to their hearts. In the week of December 13, the first Montecito Christmas Car Parade was held. The event, whose theme is “the magic of the holidays” brought together “a few handpicked donors to support the party car parade,” reports the Daily Mail.

The party consisted of a procession of decorated cars with a few passengers, some of whom were in disguise. A truck equipped with a Christmas star carried a Santa Claus who distributed candy to the locals. This is the first annual parade held in the Montecito neighborhood, Meghan and Harry’s new neighborhood. Montecito even hopes to make this event a tradition to continue. “While cheerfulness is still in the air, here’s a new tradition of vacationing in Montecito!” Reads the local Montecito Journal.

Meghan and Harry, the Sussexes were the first to donate during the parade

Montecito thanked all the donors for this festive parade, and especially mentioned the Sussexes. “Thank you to the many sponsors of the parade, including Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who were the first to donate”, we can read. So the Sussexes didn’t just donate, they were the first to donate. Slightly less active lately, Meghan Markle, 40, was spotted Christmas shopping in Montecito last week. According to the Daily Mail, the Duchess of Sussex shopped for Christmas at some of her favorite stores. Among those shops is the “neighboring store Pierre LaFond & Co and the children’s clothing store Poppy,” the Daily Mail reports.
