This is the second time that Queen Maxima of the Netherlands has taken this dress out of her wardrobe. She is remembered in this same outfit in 2019 and 2020, respectively for a state visit to India and Indonesia. From the Zimmermann brand, this pink dress with a floral pattern matches perfectly with the skin tone of the queen. For the cut, the dress has long puffed sleeves with many pleats at the handles.
The bottom of the dress takes the shape of a beautiful tulip reminiscent of the white and ocher floral pattern of the whole dress. The entire front of this dress is decorated with a line of round fabric buttons. To stay in the flower theme, the queen chose to wear earrings in the shape of a white flower that are difficult to hide. According to a Dutch journalist, these earrings are from Zara. Unlike her look with the same dress in 2020, the queen has this time chosen not to wear gloves, and moreover, she is wearing chic slippers.
“Villa Pinedo is a community of and for children of divorced parents”
Villa Pinedo is one of the foundations considered exceptional in their social work. She was awarded the Appeltjes van Oranje 2020 prize for her actions with children of divorced parents. Queen Maxima went to the commune of Stichtse Vecht to discuss with members of this community. The Queen was able to chat with the Buddies, some of whom are former children of separated parents.
Buddy means buddies, they are members who have lived the experience of separation from their parents. They are there to share their experiences online with children facing this same situation. According to its slogan, “The Villa Pinedo Foundation gives everyone the space to convert (negative) experiences into positivity and strength”.
