This Thursday, June 3, Queen Maxima closed her official visits for the week. Program of the day: visit of a coffee roaster and a dairy farm. It must be said that the queen was able to mark her presence by not opting for the appropriate gardening outfit. Indeed, Queen Maxima was seen with a new hat. To go with it, she opted for pumps with orange stilettos. The centerpiece of this magnificent outfit was above all a sand-colored linen trouser set. A magnificent outfit that reminds us that the cropped pants are timeless.
While the outfit didn’t really lend itself to the context, that didn’t stop Queen Maxima of the Netherlands from grabbing a shovel. She therefore planted a climatic tree to formalize the opening of the new premises of Hesselink Koffie. It is a family-owned coffee roasting company in Winterswijk, in the province of Gelderland.
“Very active in her royal duties”
“The building is energy neutral, the coffee produced is climate neutral and the outdoor space is designed to enhance biodiversity,” the palace announced regarding this visit. In her elegant outfit embellished with her round hat, the mother of Catharina-Amalia, Alexia and Ariane then went to the laboratory. She devoted time to discussing with all employees regarding the processes and steps involved in processing coffee. After which, she had an interview with the customers as well as the suppliers. Of course, she did not miss the tasting stage.
On the same day, Queen Maxima was at a meeting dealing with the specific causes of farmers’ financial problems. A meeting that took place in a dairy farm in Lettele, a village in the province of Overijssel.
