In June 2022, the biopic telling the life of Elvis Presley was released in dark rooms. Directed by Baz Luhrmann with Austin Butler in the main role, the film was particularly awaited by fans of the King. The day before its release, the director and the actor had joined all the women of the Presley family for a special event, in front of the Chinese Theater in Los Angeles, without suspecting that it was the last public appearance of Lisa Marie Presley. Elvis’ only daughter was struck down less than a year later, on January 13, 2023, by a heart attack.
On this day in June 2022, Elvis Presley’s widow, Priscilla (77), his only daughter Lisa Marie (54) and his three daughters, Riley (32), Harper and Finley (13) came together to a rare appearance together on the famous street of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In front of the photographers, the three Presley generations had placed their hands in the clay, just as Elvis had done next to his star, years earlier. After this beautiful moment, they had posed alongside Baz Luhrmann and Austin Butler.
A rare appearance of the full Presley family
Since the tragic death of Benjamin, the youngest son of Lisa Marie at 26, the Presley family had rarely been reunited in full. For the occasion, the women had also decided to match their outfits with the color black. Indeed, Priscilla and Lisa Marie had opted for a black tuxedo with a white shirt. For his part, Riley Keough had chosen a leather set. The actress who won the Camera d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival for her film War Pony was particularly resplendent.
Finally, the twins Harper and Finley, born of the relationship of Lisa-Marie Presley with the music producer, Michael Lockwood, had attracted all eyes. Aged 13, they were well protected by their family and appear very little in public. The two teenagers had sketched shy smiles and sported very different styles. If Finley had opted for a look similar to that of his mother, with a short skirt and pumps, his sister Harper had chosen a pretty floral dress and white sneakers. Sublime little girls that Elvis Presley would probably have been very proud of.
