Spain’s Queen Letizia was spotted in Madrid on Thursday, May 19, 2022. Looking stylish and beaming, the wife of Spain’s King Felipe VI made her way to UNED, Madrid’s Distance Learning University. Letizia from Spain, 49, was out to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Women for Africa Foundation. At the same time, the mother of Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia is presiding over the opening of an international conference. The international conference, organized by the foundation itself, focuses on the role of women. Spread over two days, the conference addresses the theme “Women’s bridges. Proposals from the South for global change”, underlines Paris Match. This conference brought together hundreds of African, American and European women.

To attend the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the foundation, Queen Letizia of Spain opted for a sublime outfit. For the occasion, the former journalist appeared in a sleeveless dress fitted at the hip. The midi A-line skirt of her dress features beautiful undulating pleats. The white dress of the mother of Princess Leonor, 16, and Infanta Sofia, 15, is branded Pedro del Hierro. To display a harmonious look, Queen Letizia of Spain chose to wear pumps and a camel bag.

The Women’s Foundation for Africa is a non-profit organization created in 2012. María Teresa Fernández de la Vega, currently president of the Council of State, is the founder and president of the foundation. To contribute to the development of the African continent, the foundation works through the support and accompaniment of its women, specifies Paris Match. “Women for Africa is committed and works for democracy, governance, peace, human rights and sustainable economic and social development. And all this in terms of equality, because we are convinced that equality is the most powerful factor of social transformation”, one can read on the site of the foundation.
