Queen Letizia of Spain has always been relentless when it comes to fashion. During these last two appearances in public, the queen had opted for the combination pants-blazer. This Friday, October 8, 2021, she donned a new highly elegant outfit. To present herself at the inauguration of the works of the famous painter Goya, the wife of King Felipe VI went to Switzerland. Letizia unveils a new autumn look dominated by the color water green. Her green sweater with a vintage look and rolled up sleeves goes perfectly with her brocade skirt. Chic and sophisticated, the skirt features bronze-colored floral patterns.
Queen Letizia’s green skirt and sweater come from the Spanish brand Is Coming. For a perfect harmony, the queen opted for pumps and a clutch in exactly the same color as the floral pattern of the skirt. For the occasion, Queen Letizia opted for diamond and citrine earrings. Finally, she has not forgotten either her ring signed Karen Hallam or her usual white mask. According to Paris Match, the wife of the monarch was in Basel accompanied by the Spanish Minister of Culture and Sports, Miquel Iceta.
Queen Letizia attends the exhibition dedicated to Francisco de Goya
The Spanish painter Francisco de Goya is one of the last great court painters while being the pioneer of modern art. The Fondation Beyeler is responsible for the organization of the “Goya” exhibition in Basel, Switzerland. We can read on the foundation’s website: “Goya was both a painter of great portraits and an inventor of mysterious and personal pictorial worlds.”
The article adds that: “It is precisely in these seemingly intractable contradictions that we discover the magical fascination of Goya’s art.” More than 70 paintings and a large collection of drawings and engravings by the artist are on display at the Fondation de Beyeler exhibition. These rarely exhibited paintings are accompanied by a few other works from the largest museums and private collections in Europe and America.
