A necessary testimony. On her Instagram account this Tuesday, October 11, Khloe Kardashian took the floor to confide in her health. Between two photos of fashion shows, the young mother announced that she had recently had to undergo an emergency operation. If she decided to speak with an open heart, it is because many rumors have spread since she appeared with a bandage on her cheek. In reality, Khloé Kardashian had to have a tumor removed. The 38-year-old businesswoman shared a series of photos of her face in an Instagram story before going into detail about her last few weeks. “I’ve seen a lot of rumors about the ever-changing bandage on my face,” she began.
“Some of you were wondering why I’ve been wearing one for the past few weeks,” she wrote. Khloe Kardashian says she “noticed a little bump on [s]her face” a few months ago. While she initially “assumed it was something as minor as a pimple,” she eventually decided to show it to a doctor seeing no change after seven months. The mum-of-two added that she received two biopsies from different doctors who both thought the lump was “incredibly rare” for someone her age. “A few days later, I was told that I needed immediate surgery to remove a tumor from my face,” Khloe Kardashian continued.
Khloe Kardashian: ‘Most people aren’t so lucky’
“I called none other than Dr. Garth Fisher, a dear friend of my family and one of the best surgeons in Beverly Hills who I knew would take incredible care of my face, Kim Kardashian’s sister continued. I’m grateful to share that Dr. Fischer was able to heal everything.” On her mtoujours Instagram account, Khloe Kardashian wanted to reassure her fans. “Now I’m on the healing process. So you’ll still see my bandages and when I’m allowed to take it off you’ll probably see a scar (and an indentation in my cheek from the tumor removed) but until- there, I hope you enjoy how fabulous I make these face wraps,” concluded Khloe Kardashian, who therefore keeps a smile and her sense of humor.
If the Good American founder wanted to share her story, it’s to encourage people to get frequent skin checks. And to look back on that day when doctors found a cancerous mole on her back. “At 19 I had melanoma on my back, and I also had surgery to remove it, so I’m predisposed to melanoma. Even those who aren’t should get checked all the time, implored Khloe Kardashian. I am someone who wears sunscreen every day, religiously, so no one is exempt from these things. Please take this seriously and do regular self-exams as well as your annual exams. I have I was lucky and all I have is a scar to tell a story with. Most people aren’t as lucky as me.”
