An anniversary is a date to be marked with a white stone. Each and every family do their best to make this day unforgettable. The Cambridges are no exception to this rule. Indeed, Kate Middleton has established an exquisite birthday tradition in her family. It was on BBC One’s A Berry Royal Christmas that Kate discussed this tradition according to Cambridgeshire Live.
What is it ? The Duchess of Sussex is said to have a tradition of staying awake on the eve of each of her children’s birthdays. She would spend that time until midnight baking a titanic amount of cake. She confessed that she made so much of it that one of Prince Louis’ first words was the name Dame Mary Berry. “I love baking. It has become a bit of a tradition that I stay up until midnight with ridiculous amounts of cake mix and frosting and I overdo it. But I love it,” she had declared.

If she likes to bake, her children like to eat it. Moreover, Prince William’s wife told Mary Barry that her youngest child would certainly recognize her, Marie Claire reports. “One of Louis’ first words was’ Mary ‘because right at her height are all my cookbooks on the kitchen shelf,” Kate says. “And kids are really fascinated by faces, and your faces are all over your cookbooks and he said ‘it’s Mary Berry’,” she added.
For her part, Mary Berry was full of praise for the talents of Kate Middleton. She had, moreover, admitted that the Duchess’s work might even be better than hers on ITV’s This Morning.
