We learn that the theme of the exhibition is “The joys of being British”. The superb portrait of the wife of Prince William, Prince of Wales, 40, will obviously not be the only focus of the exhibition. Indeed, on the website of the art gallery we can read that “after carrying out the commission of His Majesty the Sultan Ibrahim of Johor and painting His Royal Highness the Princess of Wales, this exhibition of paintings by the artist British Francis Salvesen picks up many of our British traditions”. The press release therefore mentions the other exhibition subjects such as: “animals and birds, landscapes and seascapes, dance and sport” which “are all brilliant and beautiful things”.
