It’s a trip they look forward to. On Wednesday November 30, Prince William and Kate Middleton will travel to the United States for the first time since 2014. A trip that will not be easy since they will attend the Earthshot Prize Awards ceremony, organized on Friday December 2 , in Boston. It was the Prince of Wales himself who created the awards to “discover and celebrate the best solutions to help fix the planet”.

Before this highly anticipated event, the couple will take advantage of their free time to explore the city of Boston, meet local organizations or even visit the center for child development at Harvard University. A busy trip that will take place without the presence of their three children, Prince George (9 years old), Princess Charlotte (7 years old) and Prince Louis (4 years old).

George, Charlotte and Louis will be looked after by their nanny

If the Prince and Princess of Wales did not want to take their children to the United States, it is above all because they will be attending a lot of events. A trip that would have been difficult to manage with the presence of their two eldest, but also of prince Louis, who never stays in place for very long. In addition, the trip taking place during the week, the three toddlers will be on the benches of the Lambrook School at that time.

Regarding their care, it is their usual nanny, Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo who will have the difficult task of watching over them. Indeed, the woman who has worked for the couple since 2013 is fully dedicated to their children and watches over them during each royal engagement. If she no longer lives full-time with the family of prince William since their move to Adelaide Cottage, she lives in a property close to their new home and goes there as soon as necessary.

Prince William is not going to visit his brother

While Prince William and Kate Middleton will be visiting the United States for the first time since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle moved, the two brothers are unlikely to cross paths. Indeed, Boston is a city located at the opposite of that of Montecito, California, and their schedule will not allow them to go on an adventure. Finally, the tense relations between the sons of Lady Diana are not favorable to a visit. With the release of Prince Harry’s memoirs, scheduled for the beginning of 2023, a meeting is probably not to be expected for many months.

If the Prince and Princess of Wales already have their schedule filled until Friday, December 2, they would not rule out making a small detour to New York. Indeed, a source close to the couple would have confided that they could “enjoy the festivities which are preparing for Christmas” before returning to England.
