The couple exchanged a rare kiss in public after the match.
Prince William decided to play polo for a good cause. Indeed, Prince Harry’s brother participated on Wednesday July 6 in the Royal Charity Polo Cup. A charity sporting event held at Guards Polo Club, Smith Lawn, Windsor. For the occasion, his wife Kate Middleton came to encourage him.
Dressed in a splendid summer dress by Emilia Wickstead and a pair of two-tone Camilla Elphick slingbacks, the Duchess of Cambridge caused a sensation on the polo field. If she was not accompanied by Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, she could count on her dog Orla. The beautiful black English Cocker Spaniel stayed by her mistress’s side throughout the match. Orla joined the family in 2020, following the death of Kate and William’s first dog, Lupo.

After a long match, Prince William finally emerged victorious in the Royal Charity Polo Cup. The grandson of Queen Elizabeth II is therefore mounted on the podium to receive his trophy. Very proud of him, Kate Middleton did not fail to hug him tenderly to congratulate him. In return, the Duke of Cambridge gave her a discreet kiss on the cheek. A particularly rare token of affection from the heir to the British crown.
Displays of affection rarely take place in public for the royal family. Indeed, its members must respect a very strict protocol drawn up by Buckingham Palace. Prince William and Kate Middleton are almost never kissed during official appearances. Their most significant kiss remains that of their marriage, celebrated on April 29, 2011.
