Hey there, the royal family is recruiting in Windsor. Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton are currently on the lookout for new staff. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are actively seeking a communications manager … not for just any purpose. The latter will have the role of treating “sensitive information with tact and discretion”. The job ad was posted on the Royal Household’s website and on LinkedIn, and is valid until May 3.
As can be seen from the ad, Prince William and Kate Middleton want to hire a manager from their ranks, full-time, for around 37.5 hours per week. The new team member will be responsible, among other things, for leading communication plans for the Cambridge couple’s engagements. As a task, the role is also to respond to various media requests. Among the essential criteria, the candidate should have strong writing and translation skills, from press releases to social media. And that’s not all, the candidate must be creative and provide information in “new and innovative ways”, we can read.
Kate and William demand discretion
Also on the announcement, it is specified that the person should expect to work “in close collaboration with the Royal Foundation, Patronages and other third-party organizations to achieve common communication objectives”. “Excellent interpersonal skills” are considered a must and it is better to have “good knowledge of the media landscape and experience in information management”. Finally, the ability to handle “sensitive information with tact and discretion at all times” is considered essential. Last October, the Cambridge couple asked for the same discretion when looking for a cleaning lady. If you’ve dreamed of joining Kensington and working alongside the Royal Family, this is the perfect opportunity.
