On December 6, Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton embarked on a three-day royal tour of Britain. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge cover 2,000 kilometers aboard the famous Royal Train, stopping in several towns in England, Scotland and Wales to meet with “meet frontline workers, teachers, mental health professionals, caregivers, schoolchildren and young people to convey the nation’s thanks for their tireless efforts throughout this pandemic.
Since the steam train first used by Queen Victoria in 1842, Prince William and Kate Middleton have gone beyond many Britons for three days. After spending the day in Cardiff on Tuesday, December 8, the royal couple finally returned home, near London. But their crazy day did not end there, as they found Queen Elizabeth II at Windsor Castle!
All the family together
The royal family’s warm reunion was immortalized and then shared on social media by Rebecca English, royal correspondent for the Daily Mail. In front of the second royal residence of the Queen of England, we can see the sovereign dressed in red in the center, Prince William and Kate Middleton as well as Prince Edward and his wife Sophie of Wessex on the left. Then on the right are Prince Charles and his wife Camilla Parker Bowles as well as Princess Anne.
Obviously, all stand a few meters away and thus respect the social distancing measures. “William and Kate joined the Queen, Prince Charles, Duchess of Cornwall, Earl and Countess of Wessex and Princess Anne on the steps of the entrance to Windsor Castle at the end of their Royal Train Tour,” wrote the journalist, before specifying that “Christmas carols were played by singers of the Salvation Army”.
