With Kamala Harris, Doug Emhoff forms a modern family
Now 56 years old, Doug Emhoff was born in the Brooklyn neighborhood to a Jewish family in New York before moving to California. It was there that he studied law at California State University. A well-known lawyer, he decided to take unpaid leave at the end of last August to support his wife in her new campaign, when Joe Biden appointed her as his running mate. Father of two children, Cole (26) and Ella (21), whom he had in a previous marriage, he divorced in 2008 before meeting Kamala Harris in 2013, during a “blind date” . A year later, the young lovers get married and today claim to be a modern family.
