Former WWE wrestler Jonathan Huber, known as Brodie Lee, died Saturday, December 26, at age 41. Devastated, the wrestler’s wife, Amanda, revealed on Instagram that he had died of a lung problem unrelated to Covid-19. She unveiled, “My best friend died today. I never wanted to write those words. My heart is broken. The world considered him the amazing Brodie Lee, but he was my best friend, my husband. and the best dad you have ever met. No words can express the love I feel or how broken I am right now. He passed away surrounded by loved ones after a fierce battle with a lung problem unrelated to Covid . “
Sharing that she had received the support of her husband’s wrestling company, she continued gratefully, “I cannot express my love and admiration for the way All Elite Wrestling has treated not only my husband but me. and my kids. The AEW team helped me stand and pick up all the broken parts. I was surrounded by so much love and amazing people that I can’t tag them all, but they know who they are and I don’t think they’ll ever know how grateful I am for them. ” Jonathan Huber had been a WWE wrestling star before joining AEW last year, in what was widely seen as a fresh start to his career and his work was widely praised by fans and his peers.
