Hard blow for Jane Birkin. The 76-year-old singer, victim of a bad fracture, was forced to cancel the next two concerts of her tour in Brittany. “Following a fracture of the artist, Diogène Productions and Les Visiteurs du Soir are forced to cancel the Jane Birkin concert scheduled for the Espace Avel Vor in Plougastel on Thursday March 2, 2023 at 8:00 p.m. and that of Nantes (already canceled previously) on March 03, 2023 at La Cité des Congrès”, said the company Diogène Productions in a press release also shared on Facebook.
It’s hard to say if Jane Birkin will be back on her feet for her long-awaited concert in the mythical Olympia, scheduled for March 21. However, no announcement has been made on this subject for the moment. It is not the only emblematic performance hall that awaits the singer, since Jane Birkin is also expected at La Cigale on June 22. A nice schedule in perspective to highlight his 14th album, Oh! Sorry, you were sleeping, released in December 2020.
Jane Birkin: this remarkable family outing
A few days earlier, on February 24, Jane Birkin had appeared all smiles alongside her daughter, Charlotte Gainsbourg, and her granddaughter, Alice Attal, on the red carpet of the César 2023. The trio had come to defend the documentary made by Serge Gainsbourg’s daughter entitled Jane by Charlotte, dedicated to the interpreter of Ex Fan des Sixties. Finally, Return to Reims (Fragments) by Jean-Gabriel Périot won the prize in the category of best documentary.
