Anguish and worry are the two words that perfectly sum up the stunt attempted by stuntman Jonathan Goodwin, who calls himself The Daredevil, on Thursday, October 14, 2021 during the recording of the American version of Incredible talent, America’s Got Talent: Extreme. The fearless man had to be hospitalized after his performance went awry. The incident happened at Atlanta Motor Speedway, where the show is being filmed, People reported. “During a rehearsal last night for America’s Got Talent: Extreme, an accident occurred in which breakout artist Jonathan Goodwin was injured while performing his act,” a spokesperson for the issue in a press release. “He was responsive and was immediately taken to hospital where he continues to receive medical treatment. Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family as we await news of his condition.”
41-year-old Jonathan Goodwin was in the airfield, in a straitjacket, hanging from his feet on a wire as two cars, also hanging on either side of him, swayed. The drama allegedly occurred when he tried to break free to land on an air mattress. Only, the artist was “sandwiched” between the two cars after they crashed.
Jonathan Goodwin is still hospitalized because of his bad stunt
Jonathan Goodwin had to get back on stage very quickly with his own show which was described by NBC as even more spectacular. “The most outrageous, unique and mind-boggling acts of enormous breadth and magnitude that simply cannot be confined to a theater stage.” He will have to recover first before he can embark on new stunts.
