A look back at Pilar Bardem’s career
If Javier Bardem became a world star in the space of a few years, his mother was a popular actress in Spain. A stage actress, she had landed roles in television productions from the 1970s onwards. In 1966, she won the Goya Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in No One Will Talk About Us When We’re Dead. In 1997, she had a supporting role in In the Flesh and Bone by Pedro Almodovar.
