Prince William has secured a first engagement since the publication of Prince Harry’s memoir
Prince William is accused of violence by his brother
Prince William was able to count on the support of the British
Prince Harry’s attacks will not change much in the daily life of his big brother. A key character in the memoirs of the Duke of Sussex, the Prince of Wales lived a very complicated week made of explosive revelations and personal confidences. Targeted by the husband of Meghan Markle, who accuses him in particular of having assaulted her, Prince William does not let his feelings show. Alongside Kate Middleton, he visited a new hospital in Liverpool with a broad smile. There, he was able to count on the support of the British, more than ever on the side of the couple. “Continue Will, the Scousers (nickname of the inhabitants of this city in the north of England, editor’s note) love you”, notably launched an Englishwoman, Sylvie, 81 years old. Touched by this remark, Prince William promised him to continue: “I count on it”.
When the royal couple arrived for this scrutinized engagement, the first since Prince Harry’s memoir was published, a reporter shouted: “Were you hurt by the comments in Harry’s book, sir?” But Prince William, like Kate Middleton, preferred not to answer this question and continue their visit as if nothing had happened. In his book, the Duke of Sussex notably accuses his brother of having physically attacked him. In 2019, between the walls of Kensington Palace, Prince William and the Duke of Sussex would have had a violent argument. The reason ? The Prince of Wales reportedly called Meghan Markle a “difficult” and “rude” person and told his younger brother that he wanted to “help” him with this relationship.
Between princes William and Harry, a “possible” reconciliation?
“He put down the water, called me by another name, then came towards me. It all happened so fast. Very quickly. He grabbed me by the collar, ripping my collar, and he knocked me to the ground, writes Prince Harry in The Substitute. I landed on the dog’s bowl, which cracked under my back, the pieces cutting me. I stood there for a while, dazed, then I got up and told him to get out.” Despite these explosive revelations, Prince Harry would like to reconcile with his brother and his father. And according to Crown specialists, a reconciliation is “possible” between the men of the royal family, before the coronation of King Charles III, scheduled for May 6. “All parties will have to be flexible, but it’s possible, it’s fixable,” said a source in the columns of the Sunday Times. Only time can tell.
