The concert during the last Super Bowl was considered one of the best of all time. It must be said that the American Football League (NFL) made it big by organizing a legendary show with Eminem, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, Mary J. Blige and 50 Cent. But one thing caught the attention of viewers around the world: the physique of rapper 50 Cent, who has put on many pounds since his last public appearances.

Absolutely not embarrassed by these criticisms, the latter quickly responded to his detractors, saying: “I can lose weight quickly”. Known for his muscular build and gangster looks, the now 46-year-old 50 Cent amped up the Super Bowl spectacle with a brilliant performance. He also started by appearing hanging upside down, as a nod to one of his most famous hits: In Da Club.

50 Cent: “Fat shaming only applies when you’re ashamed of your fat”

But despite all this, on social networks, many people criticized his physique. Sharing a photo of himself alongside Eminem on Instagram, 50 Cent – real name Curtis James Jackson – wrote, “I call it making fun of me, they’re making fun of me because they know I can lose weight, that’s why what they say just makes me laugh. Fat shaming only applies when you’re ashamed of your fat,” he said. Especially since this weight gain could perhaps be for the purposes of a future film. But that’s just a fan speculation that hasn’t been confirmed by 50 Cent.
