It has been months since Lilibet, the little girl from the Sussexes, was born. However, no member of the royal family has seen him directly yet. To pave the way for the easing of current tensions, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are considering using their children. The couple would thus be inclined to bring Archie and Lilibet to the United Kingdom for Christmas 2021.
Royal author Katie Nicholl told Closer it would be a good opportunity to “pave the way for a healing of the family divide”. The point is, Prince Charles as well as Queen Elizabeth can’t wait to see Harry and Meghan’s children. Note that the last time the couple spent Christmas in the UK was in 2018.
Prince Harry has only returned there twice since leaving royal duties. Meghan Markle has not returned to the UK at all since they moved to the US. If the visit took place, it would be the first time that little Lilibet has met her great-grandmother, from whom she takes her first name.
“They still have Frogmore Cottage and their plan was to come back to the UK”
Royal author Nicholl has argued the Sussex couple are not keen on abandoning Britain altogether. According to her, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are planning to return to the United Kingdom. And for the occasion, the little Sussex family will stay at Frogmore Cottage.
The Sussexes’ visit at Christmas would also be the best opportunity for them to smooth things over with other members of the royal family. Between the two brothers, it’s still cold even after they’ve reunited twice this year. Sure enough, Prince Harry and Prince William were seen together at the Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral in April. The second occasion was the unveiling of the controversial Princess Diana statue on July 1.
