Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have lived in California since leaving the British Royal Family at the start of 2020. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex live in a lavish £11million mansion with their children, Archie and Lilibet . Besides, the Sussexes live alongside the biggest names in Hollywood. Only, the neighborhood claims that the royals are not part of the community, according to the sources of the Mirror. A contradiction therefore with the confessions of Prince Harry, 37, during the Invictus Games. Indeed, Prince William’s brother told NBC’s Today Show that they were welcomed with open arms in Montecito. He also added that his neighborhood was “such an awesome community.”
However, Richard Mineards, the British columnist for the Montecito Journal claims that “the Sussexes have ‘shown nothing’ since their clandestine arrival in July 2020”. “Harry and Meghan haven’t been part of the community, and I think a lot of people are really worried about that,” he told The Times. “It’s such a nice place to hang out and they haven’t been there. There’s this big question of, ‘Where are they?’,” the columnist added.
Prince Harry has joined the local polo club
During his intervention at The Times, Richard Mineards also confided that Prince Harry had not even visited the Old Kings Road yet. This is a British influenced bar on the main street in Santa Barbara. However, Queen Elizabeth II’s grandson recently joined the Santa Barbara Polo, reports the Mirror. Which could make it much more visible to the neighborhood. It is quite possible that the prince will play with his friend, Ignacio “Nacho” Figueras, the Argentinian professional. Note that the season will begin on May 1st.
