More bad news for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle
Netflix has announced the postponement of the broadcast of a report concerning them
The platform does not wish to increase tensions between the Sussexes and the British royal family
A new blow for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. Indeed, given the ultra-tense context between the couple and the British royal family, Netflix took a radical decision: the platform preferred to postpone the release of the documentary dedicated to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. It is announced that the report is scheduled to air in 2023. According to Deadline, the repercussions of this airing would have serious consequences for their current situation.
According to the media, the documentary would deal with a very unfortunate anecdote for King Charles III who would have signed a pact with former Prime Minister John Major in order to take the throne of England. A rumor refuted by the latter. Royal scholar Richard Johnson spoke of the strained relationship between Prince Harry and the British Royal Family: “Among the ranks of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s friends in London, there are whispers that former members of the Royal Family have complained of being snubbed and abused at Queen Elizabeth’s funeral. They both complained that the family was not as welcoming as it should have been.”
The explosive memoirs of Prince Harry
This is not the only blow for the couple. Indeed, the publication of Prince Harry’s memoirs is more than questioned. The author who wrote The Diana Chronicles and The Palace Papers explained: “They are now in this predicament where they have taken the money and Harry has made a deal with his book that he is supposed to release all the details of his horrible life as a member of the royal family, but now he is in a dilemma because he knows that if he does, he can never go back.
The King of England wants to stop everything
Charles III would like to avoid new controversies and would have asked one of his closest collaborators in the shadows to find a loophole to try to stop everything: “There was a discussion around the key question: ‘Can we stop the book?'” a source told the Sun on Sunday on Sunday, October 2. “Harry has thrown the works on hold as he is desperate to get it fine-tuned in light of the Queen’s death, her funeral and the rise to the throne of her father Charles. There may be things that might not look so great if they come out so soon after the Queen dies and her father becomes King. He wants sections changed. This is by no means a total rewrite. He desperate to make changes. But it may be too late,” the source explained.
Charles III ready to repay 20 million dollars?
But a major problem arises: Prince Harry has already received a first payment for his memoirs: no less than 20 million dollars. Thus, if the work cannot be distributed, its publishers will request reimbursement of this astronomical sum. But apparently, Charles III would already be ready to put his hand in his pocket since rumors explain that the King of England could reimburse this sum himself. He would therefore be ready to do anything to prevent the publication of this book.
