On December 25, 2019, three years after the death of George Michael, his sister, Melanie Panayiotou, also died. “We confirm that Melanie passed away suddenly. We simply ask that the privacy of the family be respected at this very sad time,” said a representative of the family. Aged 55, she was found dead at her home. According to her family, she had succumbed to broken heart syndrome and was buried in the unmarked grave of George Michael.
