The royal family is growing! Princess Eugenie became a mother for the first time, this Tuesday, February 9. With her husband Jack Brooksbank, the daughter of Prince Andrew, and Sarah Ferguson welcomed a little boy, whose first name is still unknown, who already makes the happiness of the British monarchy. Queen Elizabeth II thus welcomes her ninth great-grandchild, who is placed directly in eleventh place in the order of succession to the throne, just behind her mother and in front of Prince Edward, the Queen’s youngest child. The young parents obviously received many congratulatory messages from the family members who were impatiently awaiting this birth. His uncle, Prince Charles and his wife Camilla Parker-Bowles took to their Twitter account, Clarence House to show their affection to Princess Eugenie and her husband: “Congratulations to Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank on the birth of their son, ”they wrote, sharing a photo from the couple’s wedding three years ago.
As for Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle, they have not made a public statement but the Sussexes have reportedly sent their congratulations to their former neighbors in private as reported by Town & Country. The two couples were indeed rather close and lived near Kensington Palace before the Sussexes flew to California.
Meghan and Harry, far from social networks
If they did not share messages publicly, it is also because the parents of little Archie decided to abandon all their social networks, tired of the hatred and the many criticisms they received on a daily basis. Last January, Meghan Markle and Harry therefore decided to withdraw for good from their Instagram and Twitter accounts. The goal is to try to take a step back from their notoriety, after the cyber harassment they have had to face. The former American actress had notably revealed that the situation had become “almost insurmountable” when she was on maternity leave. It is therefore now only in private that the couple interacts with their loved ones.
