Queen Elizabeth II no longer has the strength. The monarch can no longer walk her dogs in the aisles of Buckingham Palace. Indeed, his recent health concerns prevent him from ensuring this daily outing with his two corgi and his dorgi, as reported by The Daily Mail. Her walks are said to be “tonic”, and allow her to keep in shape at the age of 95, but Elizabeth II follows the advice of doctors who have asked her to rest after undergoing a series of tests and spending a night in a private hospital in London. It is now the members of his team who take care of walking his beloved dogs. Prince Charles’ mother would take this “very seriously”. Now she assumes “lighter” responsibilities from her royal palace.
When will Queen Elizabeth II be back in the spotlight? It is rumored that she could return on the occasion of the COP26 summit, the 2021 Glasgow Conference on climate change, organized by the United Nations which will take place from November 1 to 12, 2021 in Scotland. In person, or by video, remotely.
Signs of fatigue
A few days ago, Queen Elizabeth was forced to cancel her trip to Northern Ireland: “Elizabeth II keeps morale, but remains disappointed not to be able to make this trip she was waiting for so much”, a source had confided to the English media. A news that did not surprise some. Indeed, Queen Elizabeth had been seen walking with a cane during her visit to Westminster Abbey, with her daughter Anne.
