Queen Elizabeth II of England is the type to reward long and loyal service. Besides, that’s what she did with Professor Sir Huw Thomas. The latter has been his main doctor for almost 15 years. Note that Professor Sir Huw Thomas is the head of a medical center. He is also the one who summoned the queen to rest recently. Suffice to say, the last few weeks have not been easy for the professor. After all, Her Majesty, the Queen of England, suffered from many health problems. We think in particular of the night in the hospital on October 20. There was also this sprained back causing him to miss the annual ceremony of remembrance at the cenotaph.
The Sovereign presented Professor Sir Huw Thomas with the insignia of Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order. An honor which was presented to him during a private ceremony at Windsor Castle. Note that the Royal Victorian Order is a personal honor of Her Majesty. It is notably awarded for services rendered to the royal family.
