Elizabeth II: the Queen took a helicopter to reach Sandringham Castle

This Thursday, November 4, 2021, Queen Elizabeth II would have left Windsor Castle to join Sandringham Castle. This according to information exclusive to the Mirror which was then relayed by other British media. The Palace did not want to give any explanations or comment on the action. The reason being that it would be a private matter, a source tells the Daily Mail. The sovereign is therefore no longer in Windsor, her castle.

The Royal Mirror source claims the monarch made the trip for the weekend to her Norfolk home. Queen Elizabeth II would be eager to welcome her whole family there for the Christmas holidays, according to the source. The 95-year-old queen would have mainly made the trip to take care of the first preparations. Note that these are the first Christmas holidays that the royal family will spend without Prince Philip who died last April.

These same doctors would have given their agreements so that the queen can make the trip to Sandringham Castle. The displacement is therefore temporary. Especially since the royal flag still flies above Windsor Castle. This indicates that it is still Her Majesty’s main residence.
