This Thursday, April 21 is an important date for Queen Elizabeth II. Indeed, the monarch celebrates her 96th birthday today! So to celebrate this beautiful anniversary, Buckingham Palace has decided to unveil a rather surprising snapshot of the queen, published on the Crown’s social networks. Thus, fans of Prince William and Harry’s grandmother were able to discover her in a fir green coat, holding the reins of two magnificent white ponies in her hands. Majestic, the two animals command respect in this photo, signed Henri Dallal.

In the caption of this shot, it is thus explained that the shooting had taken place last month, within the castle of Windsor. Alongside her two English-bred ponies, named Bybeck Katie and Bybeck Nightingale, Queen Elizabeth II looks very small. Indeed, many fans of the royal family noticed that the monarch looked tiny, in front of her two ponies. A little touch of humor that puts balm in the heart of fans of Queen Elizabeth II who are very worried these days about her state of health.

Queen Elizabeth II increasingly absent

Indeed, the mother of prince Charles was not present during the traditional mass to celebrate the feast of Easter, last Sunday. While the entire royal family was well and truly there, the queen’s absence was widely commented on. After renouncing to attend Holy Thursday mass on April 14, Buckingham Palace announced that the sovereign would not be present to celebrate the Easter mass scheduled for Sunday April 17. Repeated absences that deeply worry the British.

Ahead of The Queen’s 96th Birthday tomorrow, @windsorhorse have released a new photograph of Her Majesty. Taken last month in the grounds of Windsor Castle, The Queen is pictured with two of her fell ponies, Bybeck Katie and Bybeck Nightingale. Happy Birthday Your Majesty!
