The coronavirus spares no one. Weeks after Donald and Melania Trump contracted Covid-19, another person tested positive. This Friday, November 20, the spokesperson for the eldest son of the President of the Republic announced that Donald Trump Jr. was affected by the virus, like nearly 200,000 other people on this day alone in the United States. “Don tested positive at the start of the week and has been in quarantine in his country house since having the result,” said the spokesperson. Although positive for Covid-19, Donald Trump’s son does not present any symptoms for the moment and therefore respects the health restrictions in force in the USA. And this is not the only person affected in the close entourage of the President of the United States. Hours earlier, Andrew Giuliani, son of Rudy Giuliani, Donald Trump’s personal lawyer, also tested positive.
Last July, the girlfriend of the president’s son had already contracted the coronavirus. Kimberly Guilfoyle, a former Fox News presenter, had tested positive before respecting the health protocol in place. Throughout the presidential campaign, Donald Trump Jr. was particularly mobilized alongside his father. Like him, he has repeatedly played down the coronavirus pandemic, which has already killed more than 250,000 Americans. Around Donald Trump, cases of coronavirus are therefore increasing. Recently, it was his chief of staff who tested positive for Covid-19 around the presidential election on November 3, as did three other White House employees. This Friday, November 20, the housing secretary revealed that he was back on his feet after being “very seriously ill”. At the beginning of October, it was the presidential family that had been affected.
Donald Trump clings to his post
Donald Trump has indeed contracted the coronavirus, just like his wife Melania and their son, Barron. If the First Lady remained in isolation at the White House, the President of the USA was hospitalized for several days in a luxury suite at Walter Reed Hospital for precautionary measures. Considered a person at risk, he received an experimental treatment on site before leaving the establishment in controversy. Recovered, Donald Trump now lives reclusive within the walls of the White House. Two weeks after the election, he still refuses to recognize the victory of his Democratic opponent, Joe Biden. According to his relatives, he is currently “bunkerized” in the Oval Office that he does not want to let go and is preparing several legal appeals to try to have the result of the poll canceled. At the same time, the epidemic is in an “exponential” phase in the United States, according to health authorities.
