Since November 25, Leslie Hoorelbeke, 22, Kévin Trompat, 21, and their dog have not been found. They were last seen at a party with friends near Niort (Deux-Sèvres). A call for witnesses was launched on December 7 after the discovery of the young man’s identity papers. But what happened to them? A major twist took place on February 28 when Tom was arrested. Placed in police custody, the young man gave details which allowed the investigators to arrest a third person, this Thursday, March 2. As revealed by Le Parisien, the young man was wanted and he has been heard since this afternoon. This third arrest allows the gendarmes to orient themselves towards a particular track…. That linked to drug trafficking. As a reminder, Tom used to “deal drugs – cocaine and ketamine – in the evenings”, indicates the newspaper before continuing: “Kevin, the young man who disappeared, would have poured into a larger traffic, covering a area located between Niort and La Rochelle”. Leslie Hoorelbeke’s boyfriend was supposed to go on a date the night she disappeared.
The arrest of this third young man was possible following statements made by Tom while in police custody. Very close to Leslie Hoorelbeke, he explained to the gendarmes that he thought he had crucial information concerning the disappearance of the couple. The young man claims to have “played no active role” but he assures that, according to him, the motive for the crime is “linked to a dispute over the sale of drugs”, explains the Parisian. Tom’s statements have thus enabled the gendarmes to orient themselves towards other potential suspects, but will these allow them to learn more? Indeed, there is also Nathan, with whom the evening was organized, who was heard. The newspaper states that he lives in “Puyravault where the personal effects of the two missing were found, unexplained on December 8 last”. It was in a container “that a jogging suit, a toilet bag… But also unstruck rifle cartridges had been discovered”. Does Nathan have anything to do with the disappearance of Leslie Hoorelbeke and Kévin Trompat?

If the drug track is favored by the investigators, another is also considered… that of an impossible love. Tom has long had feelings for the young woman but these were not reciprocated.
