When he was only 7 years old, Kyron Horman mysteriously disappeared from his elementary school in Oregon, in the United States. According to his mother-in-law, Terri Horman, that morning there was a science project in the establishment in which the kid had participated. Having been part of the audience, the woman remembers the last images of her son and spoke to People in 2016. “I saw him go to his class, the last sight of him is the back out of his head, out the door,” she said. According to her, these are the images that appear when she sits down and thinks of her son.
In the afternoon, Kyron had to take the school bus home, like every day. Unfortunately, he never made it home. His mother-in-law then contacts the school to ask them for news of her son, the establishment announces that he was no longer there.
Terri Horman: ‘I want them to make Kyron their priority again’
For a time, suspicion fell on the mother-in-law. However, she was never officially considered a suspect in the case. 12 years later, the family still has no news of Kyron Horman. In an attempt to move forward in the case, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children produces a computer portrait. According to the explanations provided by the establishment on Facebook, it is “a new image of what Kyron Horman would look like today at 19 years old”. The police are counting on this new image to be able to bring the boy home.
Desiree Young, Kyron’s biological mother, also came out of her silence. Last week she said she will never stop looking for her son. She even advances a request on Fox26 for a special team to be dedicated to this case. According to the sheriff, the investigation is still ongoing. In a statement, he said he received multiple leads per month, ranging from one to 20.
