It is no coincidence that Princess Delphine of Saxe-Coburg, 54, mingled with French and international stars in Cannes on April 4, 2022. Note that Princess Delphine is the illegitimate daughter of the former King of Belgium, Albert II. Now recognized as an official member of the royal family, she is therefore the half-sister of King Philippe of Belgium, 61. Last Monday, Princess Delphine was notably photographed on the pink carpet alongside her husband, Jim O’Hare, and her two children. Its presence on this fourth day of the Cannes International Series Festival is in no way a coincidence.
Indeed, on Tuesday, April 5, the royal gave a concrete explanation on her Instagram account. Her presence was due to a documentary dedicated to her: “Delphine: The Secret Princess”. This documentary relates in particular his journey and his fight to obtain the recognition of his father. It was directed by Chris Michel and was produced by Warner Bros. International TV Production. This is a series consisting of three parts of 50 minutes each. It was unveiled for the first time last January on the VRT and RTL TVI channels.
Delphine from Belgium: the documentary will be broadcast on HBO Max and SBS
The 59th edition of MipTV, the international market for television programs, began at the Palais des “Festivals et des Congrès”, in Cannes, on Monday April 4th. Which was an opportunity for Warner Bros to announce the broadcast of the documentary on Princess Delphine on the HBO Max streaming platform. A broadcast is planned from May 1, “in central and eastern Europe, Spain, Portugal and Andorra, in the Nordic countries and in the Netherlands”, according to Variety. The documentary has also been sold to SBS which will offer broadcast in Australia from April 23, 2022.
