Camilla Parker Bowles is the wife of King Charles III of England.
Like all husbands and wives of monarchs, we attribute to her title the qualifier of Consort.
Many envision Camilla Parker Bowles as simply “Queen”.
The Duchess of Cornwall Reading Room is no more. Buckingham Palace has updated the name of Camilla Parker Bowles’ charity. From now on, we speak of the “Queen’s Reading Room”. The Queen’s Reading Room says a lot about the change that is set to take place after the coronation of Charles III, according to insiders quoted by the Daily Mail on February 25, 2023. Camilla Parker Bowles, the one referred to as the Queen Consort, married the Prince of Wales in 2005. Recall that it has already been admitted that Camilla Parker Bowles would never be called queen when Charles III of England accedes to the throne.

The relationship between King Charles III, 74, and Camilla Parker Bowles, 75, has been going on for a long time. It dates from before, during and after the marriage of Charles III to Princess Diana. “There were three of us in this marriage, so there were a few people”, revealed the late first wife of Charles III during her interview with Panorama, recalls the Daily Mail. Camilla Parker Bowles’ coast has been at rock bottom for years. “But Camilla won over the public,” says the British tabloid. Elizabeth II herself intervened in February last year to have her daughter-in-law called “Queen Consort”.
Camilla Parker Bowles: the wife of Charles III will no longer be Queen Consort after the coronation of the King of England
The Daily Mail reports that according to insiders, the fact that Buckingham Palace has renamed Camilla’s association to “Queen’s Reading Room” is a clear sign. The official register of royal engagements or the Court Circular could also soon reflect the same change according to an insider quoted by the Daily Mail. “There is an opinion in the Palace that Queen Consort is cumbersome and it might be easier for Camilla to be known as the Queen when the time is right,” the source said. Some media, including the Times and the Telegraph, have already dropped the term “Consort” when discussing Camilla Parker Bowles.
