I would like to publicly apologize to from you, Chris. I overstepped my bounds and I was wrong,” he wrote on Instagram.
Even if the Academy of Oscars had dismissed Will Smith, it seems that Chris Rock has a hard time getting over this incident. Indeed, three months after his slap, the comedian had the opportunity to present the Emmy Awards, according to information from Deadline, a ceremony during which the best series are rewarded. But Chris Rock refused the proposal. Indeed, he preferred to decline this offer and will therefore not host the 74th edition of the Emmy Awards, which is due to take place on September 12.

In the middle of the tour, Chris Rock wanted to make things clear about this famous slap: “I don’t have much to say about what happened. I’m still digesting what happened. past. At some point, I’m gonna talk about this sh*t. And it’ll be serious and funny, but not tonight. If you came to hear that, I’ve got a whole show I wrote before. this weekend,” he said. On April 9, our colleagues from TMZ had revealed that the comedian could speak about it publicly, on one condition. “I’m fine, I have a whole show to go on and I won’t talk about the slap unless I’m paid. Life is good”.
