Carl Philip and Sofia from Sweden: the third prince arrived with photo of the siblings

On March 26, 2021, the couple of Prince Philip of Sweden and Princess Sofia welcomed Prince Julian Herbert Folke, Duke of Halland with open arms. The youngest of the siblings was born at Danderyd Hospital in Stockholm. The family of the royal couple is therefore now made up of siblings of three boys with Prince Alexander, born in 2016, and Prince Gabriel, born in 2017.

This Wednesday, Carl Philip and Sofia shared on Instagram a first photo of Prince Julian surrounded by his brothers. A second snapshot quickly comes as a reinforcement showing the 3 siblings with their father. “Life has given me not only one, but four beautiful princes. A big thank you from us for all the warm congratulations on the birth of Julian,” had been indicated as the caption accompanying the photo. Note that the couple Carl Philip and Sofia left the hospital on the very day of Prince Julian’s birth.

“Seventh in the order of succession”

It was in December 2020 that this third pregnancy of Princess Sofia was announced. The princess was unfortunately unable to take full maternity leave. Remember that her last official engagement with the king and queen dates from March 11, 2021. Only a few days separate this date from that of the princess’ childbirth.

Prince Julian who was born recently is listed seventh in the order of succession to the Swedish throne. King Charles XVI Gustav and Queen Silva have three children namely Princess Victoria, Prince Carl Philip and Princess Madeleine. It is therefore Princess Victoria who will succeed the king.
