Now known as the Duchess of Cournouailles and second wife of Prince Charles, Camilla Parker Bowles has not always been part of the British royal family. Wednesday, December 22, the Mirror gave some information on the career of Camilla Parker Bowles when she did not yet know the son of Queen Elizabeth II.

In her youth, Camilla then known as Camilla Shand worked at a prestigious interior design firm, Colefax and Fowler. In the book “On the fringe: a life in decorating”, interior designer Imogen Taylor who worked at the same company mentioned the Duchess of Cournouailles and her dismissal. She explained, “I think she arrived late after going to a ball.” An explanation which is not so surprising when we know that Camilla Parker Bowles was particularly partying in the 1960s in London.

Camilla Parker Bowles was said to have been “an assistant who suffered a temper tantrum”.

In a 2016 interview with the Sunday Times, Imogen Taylor gave more details on the dismissal of Prince Charles’ second wife. She explained: “There were a lot of beginners working for us, even Camilla”. According to her, the boss of the Mayfair, London company was very demanding and easily got angry.

She said Camilla Parker Bowles was said to have been a collateral victim of the wrath of the boss who “screamed and bellowed for the whole building to hear every word” and explained “The Duchess of Cornwall was an assistant who suffered a anger”. A bad experience which will not prevent her from meeting shortly after her first husband, Andrew Parker Bowles.
