Camilla Parker Bowles discreet in printed dress: she shoulders Prince Charles for his last visit

Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles visited the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, one of Scotland’s most important museums, to celebrate its 120th anniversary. The museum opened in 1901 for the Glasgow International Exhibition. In 2006, the museum reopened after three years of work. It has since welcomed more than 19 million visitors.

Upon their arrival, Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles, known as the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay in Scotland were greeted by Philip Braat, the Lord Lieutenant of Glasgow. They first met the museum staff before taking the tour. The couple were able to discover many exhibitions, including Salvador Dali’s painting, The Christ of Saint John of the Cross.

Camilla Parker Bowles and Prince Charles met schoolchildren

While the heir to the British throne met students from the Glasgow School of Art, Camilla Parker Bowles went to explore the natural history collection. Wearing a silk feather dress by Fiona Clare, Prince Charles’ second wife met children from Hillhead Primary. They showed him a model of albatross with outstretched wings.

The couple then reunited and ran into other schoolchildren as well as students. Aaron Walsh, a 17-year-old student spoke of his meeting with the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay: “Camilla asked me about Glasgow and we talked about climate change, and Charles asked about the education, where we are in our studies and on home learning “. Prince Charles also discussed Cop26 with several schoolchildren.

There is no doubt that this visit delighted the Prince of Wales and his wife and brightened up the schoolchildren’s day.
