And this Wednesday, April 20, the singer of 82 is expected on the stage of the Printemps de Bourges for what will perhaps be one of her last concerts. For this great occasion, her husband and longtime partner Areski Belkacem must accompany her on stage, just like other artists such as Philippe Katerine and Béatrice Dalle. Unfortunately, Brigitte Fontaine’s state of health may not allow her to honor her performance.
Indeed, in an interview with the Sunday newspaper on April 17, the artist explained that she was currently experiencing major health concerns. “If this apartment is in this state it is because I am very ill,” she said, opening the door of her home to our colleagues. At the origin of her illness, a fracture of the vertebrae which occurred eight years ago, and which made her suffer “excruciatingly”. Also the victim of severe toothache, she does not know if she will be able to go on stage.
