On November 24, Americans celebrated Thanksgiving. A very important party across the Atlantic. Thus, Meghan Markle also wanted to celebrate this date. But now a photo published on the Archewell Foundation website has somewhat caught the attention of Sussex fans. And for good reason: it shows the wife of prince Harry in a rather amazing outfit. Baseball cap screwed on her head and wearing a mask, she is cooking a pumpkin pie. “Earlier this week, the Archewell Foundation team helped prepare a Thanksgiving lunch for over 300 residents of the Downtown Women’s Center (DWC) in Los Angeles,” the site reads.

Indeed, on this national holiday, Americans help those in need: “DWC provides a wide range of resources to reduce barriers and end homelessness for all women, including female Veterans and their families, women with serious physical and mental health problems and survivors of domestic violence.” On the Foundation’s website, it is well mentioned that helping others is part of their goals: “The main objective of the Archewell Foundation is to uplift and unite communities – local and global, online and offline – one act of compassion at a time”.

Thanksgiving, a very important day for Meghan Markle

Thus, by cooking for this association, Meghan Markle shows that she is close to all Americans and that she helps those who are in need. For the Duchess of Sussex, the celebration of Thanksgiving is important: “Despite the contrast of my two worlds growing up, there was a powerful commonality: both my parents came from little, so they made the choice to give a lot – to buy turkeys for homeless shelters on Thanksgiving, delivering meals to patients in hospice care, giving spare change in their pockets to those who ask for it, and performing quiet acts of thanks – whether it’s a hug, a smile or a pat on the back to show those in need that they would be fine.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, very engaged

This isn’t the first time the couple have helped people in need. Indeed, on Friday July 16, 2021, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle came to the aid of the Harvest Home association in Los Angeles. The purpose of this organization is to help homeless pregnant women. Thus, the couple offered tons of diapers for infants. “Pallets and pallets of nappies… We are so grateful! These nappies recently arrived at our new Pico-Robertson home and we couldn’t be more grateful to the Archewell Foundation, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, the Procter & Gamble Company and Pampers Brand for the incredible donation to their Million Acts of Love campaign. Thank you for helping us ensure our moms and babies have everything they need in our homes!” , can we read in the caption of the post.
