Five years. This is the time that has passed since the death of Johnny Hallyday. For this sad anniversary, Laeticia Hallyday, his widow, took to his Instagram account and paid him a moving tribute. “5 years already since you left, 5 years which seem like a century to me, an eternity…we still miss you and forever. All December 5ths are no longer ordinary days but anyway they are rare days without you ….Rare because in truth we live together every moment and it is certainly you who helps me to regain a taste for life, to find meaning in my existence, because I know that you would not want us to be unhappy.” wrote Laeticia Hallyday, referring to their daughters, Jade and Joy.

Borrowing from emotion, Laeticia Hallyday then explained that despite the pain of the loss, she gradually found a smile. “It is thanks to you that we are able to rebuild ourselves. I promised you to do everything to get up and continue to live for Jade and Joy, to live up to your dreams for them. I hope never to disappoint you. We miss you more than words because they will never be strong enough to express this still strong pain of his absence. Tonight at the Lorient cemetery with your fans who are there for you, we will watch the sky, there will be a star that will shine more than the others… because you are never far away, you watch, you protect us. We love you forever.” To accompany this moving tribute, Laeticia Hallyday shared a video in which we discover many memories of the couple. On the music “20 years” by Johnny Hallyday, we see lovers on the plane, kissing or even enjoying a beautiful evening in the moonlight or a tender break at the beach.

Johnny Hallyday: Laeticia Hallyday in Saint-Barth for the 5th anniversary of his death

Note that for the five years of the death of Johnny Hallyday, the companion of Jalil Lespert made the trip to Saint-Barthélémy. She indeed went to the island where the late rocker has been resting since December 11, 2017. There, she organized a vigil at sunset, on the singer’s grave, in the Lorient cemetery. Laeticia Hallyday then meditated on the burial covered with floral compositions in the shape of objects dear to the rocker before lighting candles and listening to songs by her husband. Jade, 18, and Joy, 15, however, did not attend the tribute. And it is in the columns of your magazine Closer that we revealed the reason. In fact, they simply no longer wish to expose their grief to the general public, preferring to experience it in the strictest privacy.

In the next few days, will take place before the traveling exhibition which will start in Brussels on December 16, 2022 but also before the broadcast of the documentary “Johnny by Laeticia” scheduled for December 8 on M6.
