A lucrative business. After many weeks of hearings, the verdict of the trial between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard fell this Wednesday, June 1. And it is finally the American actress who was convicted of defamation and must pay 10.35 million dollars to her ex-husband.
An amount that the young woman will “absolutely not” be able to pay according to the words of her lawyer on the antenna of the NBC channel. This is in particular why Amber Heard has decided to appeal this decision. For his part, Johnny Depp expressed his immense relief after the announcement of the verdict. “Six years ago, my life, the life of my children, the life of my loved ones, and also the lives of the people who for many years have supported me and believed in me, changed forever. ( …) Six years later, the jury gave me my life back. I am truly grateful,” the Pirates of the Caribbean actor wrote on his Instagram account. Like him, many Internet users are delighted that this trial took place. Indeed, several of them took advantage of the event to bail out their bank accounts.
Several thousand dollars for an entrance bracelet
During each hearing, a few dozen visitors could take their places in the seats of the court in Fairfax, Virginia, to follow the trial live. A privilege on which these people wanted to surf. Indeed, according to information from TMZ, some Internet users have decided to sell the bracelet which allowed them to access the interior of the court. And on eBay, sales have soared. Some bracelets have thus sold for up to 5,000 euros, or nearly 4,700 euros!
