The family hoped to find their daughter alive. Unfortunately, hope quickly vanished. This Tuesday, November 23, a body was found near Bovisand beach, located about ten kilometers from the city of Plymouth, in the United Kingdom. Authorities have confirmed that it was the body of Bobbi-Anne McLeod.

The 18-year-old had been missing since November 20. She was last seen at a bus stop near her home in Plymouth. A vast search operation had been set up to find her. Police in Devon and Cornwall have therefore confirmed the terrible news: “Formal identification is now complete and it has been confirmed that the body found in Bovisand on November 23 is that of 18-year-old Bobbi-Anne McLeod.” Authorities said “His family have been informed of this news and have requested that their privacy be respected at this time.”

Suspect arrested for murder of Bobbi-Anne McLeod

24-year-old musician Cody Ackland, suspected of being the girl’s murderer, has been arrested. The young man appeared in court on Tuesday, November 30, and will have to return to court for a preliminary hearing on January 24.

This Friday, November 26, a candlelight vigil was organized and hundreds of people gathered at the place where Bobbi-Anne McLeod was last seen. Donna McLeod, the mother of the victim, extremely upset by the death of her daughter, wanted to thank the crowd for all the love and support her family has received in recent days.
