She was in a bedroom with no access to any windows when the house was on fire.
Zoe’s mother and two of her siblings were able to escape from the burning house. As for William McCue, the father of the family, the latter was at work with one of his children. “When we arrived on the scene, we were told that two people were trapped inside the house, a 10-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy,” said fire department Lt. Justin Wilson. of Gwinnett County. “Firefighters found the young girl, named Zoe McCue, dead inside the house in a room used as a bedroom with no access to the window,” the lieutenant said.
Fire alarms did not go off
