It’s a tragic drama that befell little Star Hobson. Indeed, this little girl of only 16 months died murdered by her stepmother, Savannah Brockhill. In a video shared on Facebook, little Hobson was seen not smiling as she is held up by Brockhill. She will be murdered 5 months later!

Another video also shared on social media shows her mother, Frankie Smith, asking the little Star “Do you love me?”. At the time, the child does not say anything and will take a few seconds before responding positively. Star Hobson died of assassination-like mistreatment. The child was reportedly strangled while being forced to stand facing a wall. The little one was also allegedly beaten several times. Her mother, Smith, reportedly lost interest in her own daughter, as she was allegedly dominated by her partner. The Daily Mail document claims Smith has a very low IQ of 70.

Social services missed 5 opportunities to save her

Little Star’s murder comes after she suffered months of abuse at her home in Keighley, West Yorkshire. A situation that unfolded by the containment of the Covid-19 last year. Moreover, the social services were aware of these abuses and had missed 5 opportunities to save the little girl. Star was taken to hospital on September 22, 2020, but the injuries she sustained were “insurmountable,” Alistair MacDonald QC told Bradford Crown Court.

Fortunately, a jury found Brockhill, 28, guilty of Star’s murder. As for her mother, Frankie Smith, she was convicted of causing and allowing the death of her granddaughter on December 14, 2021.
